Accessible social audio for real-world places
Walk a place.
Hear its people.
Leave your voice.
HearHere turns a walk, campus route or city trail into a shared audio layer: official guidance, community stories, and recent voices from the same stop — designed from the start for blind and low-vision participation.
One trail, three layers of voice
A place is more than a map pin.
Every stop can combine trusted institutional content with lived experience and optional social connection.
Official voice
Scene description, orientation, accessibility information, local history and stories curated by the host institution.
Community voice
Memories, observations and accessibility notes left by people who experienced the same location at another time.
Nearby voice
A recently posted voice from the same stop. Reply or send a friend request without revealing exact live GPS.

Parkville Campus Voice Trail
Choose a stop. Hear official, community and nearby voices. The visual route is optional — the same controls work as a simple list for screen-reader users.

Audience participation
Leave a voice at this place.
Record a short check-in, preview it, then post it to the trail. When cloud storage is configured, classmates on different phones will see the same uploaded voices.

Institution tools
Official callouts turn visitors into contributors.
Museums, universities, councils and tourism partners can recruit local voices, then feature high-quality contributions based on relevance, listens and likes.
Melbourne after rain
Leave a 20–30 second voice about what you notice after rain: a sound, smell, texture, memory or accessibility detail.

Don’t assume. Ask.
Use the same public prototype for user interviews, institutional testing and classroom evidence. Responses are stored anonymously when cloud mode is enabled.

Social participation, not forced interaction
Hear someone nearby. Connect only if both people want to.
A recent voice can become a conversation. The prototype demonstrates a reply → friend request → mutual acceptance → Voice Walk call flow.

“The rain smells amazing here. If you pause in the middle, you can hear water dropping from the trees.”
